Kathy’s Story

November 5, 2021

Power of MusicMeet Kathy, who participates in the Music & Memory program at the Morgan City Health Care Center in Morgan City, Louisiana.

Before joining the Music & Memory program, Kathy experienced episodes of agitation, pain, and distress, but when she was given her music, she was immediately distracted from her discomfort and became visibly happier. Now whenever she’s listening to her favorite songs, she brings joy to those around her by singing, dancing, and being the happy spirit she is.

An investment in Music & Memory is an investment in the well-being of elders like Kathy. Thanks to our community of support, we continue to provide:

  • A tool for caregivers to provide critical support for elders in residential care.
  • Improved quality of life for the most vulnerable populations.
  • Favorite music for all who would benefit.
