Music & Memory recently partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association, Wisconsin Chapter as part of their Caregiver Connection series to present a program on the use of music engagement to support individuals living with dementia. The webinar is now available on demand and free to access for anyone interested in learning practical, person-centered approaches to using music in care.
Presented by Justin Russo of the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function, the session explores how structured music engagement can enhance connection, communication, and quality of life for people experiencing cognitive change. The discussion goes beyond simply playing music, highlighting how personalized playlists, singing, and other music-based interactions can be integrated into everyday care by both family caregivers and professional staff.
This work is only possible because people in our community believe in the healing power of music. Music & Memory relies on supporters who help ensure that more seniors, across care settings, communities, and backgrounds, can experience the comfort and connection that personalized music provides.
The on-demand recording is now available for free. Individuals can register and watch at their convenience and are encouraged to share the program with others who may benefit.
