Music & Memory will take part in an upcoming Alzheimer’s Awareness Presentation and Panel Discussion hosted by Connecticut State Representative Irene Haines on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, Connecticut.
The event will bring together organizations working to support individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers. The program will focus on practical approaches that help families and care partners better understand the condition and improve quality of life for those affected.
Music & Memory’s Director of Programming, Justin Russo, will present on the organization’s work using personalized music to support people living with memory loss. Additional presentations will be offered by Natalie Shurtleff of AARP and Maisie Russel of the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter, each sharing resources and perspectives on supporting families navigating Alzheimer’s disease.
The event will conclude with a panel discussion and audience question-and-answer session, providing attendees with an opportunity to learn from the speakers and explore practical tools for supporting loved ones living with dementia.
Music & Memory is honored to participate in this important conversation and to work alongside partners committed to improving care, awareness, and support for families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
The program will take place from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM in Hearing Room 1A at the Legislative Office Building, 300 Capitol Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut.
