Music & Memory Announces New Partnership With the Heartstringz Foundation

Music & Memory is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Heartstringz Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life through music performance and community engagement. Heartstringz supports older adults across a variety of care settings by providing live musical experiences that foster connection, comfort, and emotional well-being.

As part of this collaboration, Heartstringz has generously contributed equipment to support Music & Memory’s ongoing work with older adults living with dementia and other cognitive or physical challenges. This contribution will allow us to expand access to music-based engagement for the communities we serve.

In recognition of Heartstringz’s commitment to using music as a tool for meaningful social connection, Music & Memory will provide training for their volunteer teams to use personalized music playlists to support quality of life, equipping volunteers – who regularly visit and perform at residential care organizations – with an additional tool to support mood, reduce anxiety, enhance engagement, and strengthen relationships.

We are grateful to the Heartstringz Foundation for their partnership and for their dedication to bringing the healing power of music to those who benefit from it most. Together, we look forward to supporting the therapeutic use of music for individuals in residential care communities, at home, and throughout the broader aging-services landscape.
