Elda’s Story

November 26, 2024

Today, I’d like you to meet Elda, a participant in the Music & Memory program at the Sierra Nevada Home Care and Hospital Foundation.

When asked about her favorite music, Elda beamed, “I love just about any music you could think of, but Don Rich is my guy!” Her personalized music playlist has been a source of comfort and joy, helping her relax and fall asleep. “When I start feeling all nervous or something, I put that music on, and it all goes away,” she said.

Everyone around Elda can’t help but smile when they see how positive and joyful she is with her headphones on. Her story is a beautiful reminder of how personalized music can bring comfort and connection to those who need it most.

Thanks to supporters like you, Music & Memory continues to provide:

  • Tools for caregivers to support elders in residential care.
  • Improved quality of life for vulnerable populations.
  • Personalized music playlists that bring joy and connection.

Together, let’s ensure that more people like Elda can experience the transformative power of their favorite music.
