How much does the training cost?
Training costs are based on the number of residents/clients served by your organization (for-profit or non-profit):
- 51 or more: $1,250
- 36-50: $800
- 21-35: $650
- 9-20: $600
- 8 or fewer: $500
- For organizations with multiple sites, serving 51 or more residents/clients, each additional site is $800.
- Hospital pricing is $800 per department. Annual renewal fee for hospitals is $200 per department.
A $200 renewal fee is due annually on the anniversary on each organization’s certification. This fee ensures continued access to a broad array of benefits that are only available to MUSIC & MEMORY® Certified Organizations. Renewal invoices are sent 60 days prior to payment due date, and are based on date of certification.
Program Equipment Costs
Program equipment and associated costs vary depending on the size of the organization. As a general guideline for assembling an equipment budget, we recommend budgeting about $100 per person. This includes music players, headphones, and music.
We also recommend budgeting for a dedicated computer to hold your music library. A laptop is the best choice for flexibility when working with participants and their families to select appropriate music. It should have a CD reader to download popular tracks from original CDs. If the laptop is being repurposed or donated, it must be a recent model so that the many music files can be transferred speedily.
After completing the Music & Memory Certification webinar, certified organizations will be eligible to purchase program equipment at a discount through our partnering vendors. The basic equipment package consists of:
- Ten SanDisk music players
- Ten Koss headphones
- Ten AC adapters
- Three headphone splitter cables
- One external speaker
Add-on packages are available in quantities of 5, 10, and 20.
